The Root Of All Evil

     There is a major problem plaguing this nation that not many people pay attention to. It stands within plain sight, yet extremely few of us Americans realize it. It is the root cause of most of the difficulties we face as a country, stemming endless difficulties that only slow our growth as a civilization. This problem is career politicians. The pompous, holier than thou, out of touch, see all, know all, educated fools that were elected to be our leaders, not our rulers.
     When congressional office holders are not restricted to any term limit, it is likely that once they are first elected, they will never leave office. At least not for many many years. They are so absorbed by the power to make tangible differences in the way our government operates, that they replace the duty to serve the people with the desire to push a political agenda. They are meant to represent the citizens of their districts, but once they achieve status, they immediately begin to fight for what they want the country to be, instead of what the people want for us as a whole.
     And why shouldn't they? Nothing they are doing will ever directly affect them. They most likely will never be dependant on the government. They are almost all independently wealthy. They will probably never have to live by the laws that they pass. So why then should they push for what is in the best interest of the people if it does not change their lives at all? They are so out of touch that they believe they know what is best and that the voters are simply a vehicle through which to channel an agenda.
     The problem is that they are more interested in keeping their job, not doing their job. The cause of this problem is that there is no term limit. If there were limits, they would recognize that at some point down the road, they will have to return to the real world and abide by the legislation they pushed through. They then would sincerely seek to accomplish that which is beneficial to society, because they will be participators in that system.
     We cannot afford to repeatedly enlist politicians that are out of touch with the common man. With term limits, we are able to effectively evade the majority of the political powerhouse problems, and truly have a government "of the people, by the people, for the people." America may lose a few of the more sincere congressman that actually desire what is best for everybody, but at least through this system we will never allow corrupt politicians to continue sitting on the dreams of a nation.
     Too often we complain about the megalomaniacal government, ever expanding and suffocating the growth of our society. Why then do we not change this? We still have the power to amend our government and its operations, and we must act while we still possess this freedom. Career politicians are a plague that we can berid ourselves of! Instead of groaning, or passively allowing our liberties and our hopes to be robbed from us, we as a united people should act to repair our country, because career politicians will never do it for us.

What It Truly Means To Be "Pro-Choice"

     It is a fearful thing that our society has grown to not only accept but openly support such heinous activities as abortion. The murder of innocent babies has gone on for far too long, and this crime against humanity only continues to become worse in its scale and method. If you are able to sincerely condone the voluntary robbing of infant human life, you must be  insane. Nobody in their right mind would stand for mass murder, and abortion is just that.
     One example of this terrible act being committed is Doctor Kermit Gosnell of Pennsylvania. This man, or murderer, has been performing illegal late term abortions, earning "millions of dollars over the span of 30 years," and only now is he being prosecuted. Not only late term abortions were occurring in the clinic, but sometimes after-birth abortions in cases that the procedure to terminate the fetus inside the womb had failed. Even after the baby had left the mother, they were heartlessly slaughtered. The murderer Gosnell would use scissors to penetrate the back of the head and scramble the brain to end the lives of the children. The bodies were then casually discarded as if nothing more than common garbage.
     These are not the most sickening of the details.
     In some cases, the aborted children were kept in bags in freezers and in various locations around the facility. The murderous doctor even kept the severed feet of innocent children in small jars in his office. To this demented man, the endless massacre of helpless babies is big business. Sadly there are millions upon millions of people in this nation who support this activity and uphold it as a right and a liberty. But, they don't support gun rights?
     Many of our citizens claim to care about the protection of children, thereby pushing for the disarmament of the American population. Where then is the outcry over abortion? Abortion causes the deaths of more innocent children than any gun ever has, but there is no outrage over this crime. Would there be if an abortion doctor used an assault rifle to abort children? Herein lies the hypocritical double standard: "This man killed more children in a single month than all the school shootings in the history of America combined." Why then do we not ban abortion instead of banning assault rifles?
      The answer is clear: the liberals, and sadly most Americans, are not concerned with saving lives. They are more concerned with pushing an idealistic agenda. They would rather our liberties be severely restricted while the mass slaughter of innocent children continues. How then could one on that side of the argument honestly claim to hold any value for human life? They can't, because they don't.
      Since the Roe Versus Wade case in 1973, when abortion was legalized, almost 55 million children have been murdered. When a population and its leaders have become so desensitized to the true value of human life, that society has lost all moral code and therefore leaves no definite boundary as to what is acceptable. Where does it stop? How long will it be until this grows beyond unborn children? When will we decide that small children, the elderly, the ill, are no longer worth sustaining and therefore discard them?
     This is what it truly means to be "pro-choice." You believe that a mother has the right to determine whether or not a child should live. You believe that a doctor has the liberty to terminate a human life without prosecution for murder. You also believe that the government has the right to tax the citizens of this nation to fund the killing of children. But you don't believe that an individual has the right to decide whether or not they should pay for something they don't agree with, such as the slaughter of innocent babies. They are hypocrites, murderers, fools, and worst of all, most them don't even realize their error because their minds have been stripped of any semblance of humanity.
     They are not "pro-choice," they are "pro-murder."

The Failure Of Our Economy

     Most people that are paying any attention to the news and the current status of our country will recognize that we are not where we need to be. We are falling drastically behind the rest of the world in education. About 47 million Americans live in poverty. In the last quarter of 2012 the economy grew only 0.1 percent. The deficit in the budget that doesn't even exist is over 1 trillion dollars and the national debt is almost 17 trillion dollars. About 49% of Americans live in a household in which a least one person receives entitlement funds. Our relationship with Israel is failing, unemployment is rising once again, and the moral code of the common people is deteriorating. These things are huge problems, but there are a couple of major factors which will cause the ultimate downfall of one of the greatest nations that ever existed.
     The first and greatest factor that will cause our destruction is the health care reform, known commonly as Obamacare. Most would praise and embrace the idea of a socialized health care system, but those same do not realize the consequences of this tremendous power grab. Unless you are independently wealthy, you must accept the coverage that the government offers. That leaves about 280 million Americans dependant on the government for health care.
     Companies will be required to provide certain health care or face enormous fines for neglecting to uphold the law. Hobby Lobby, for example, is being fined 1.3 million dollars each day for refusing to provide contraceptive for their employees until they either give the health care or go out of business. Companies and corporations and businesses of all types are being forced to provide insurance they cannot afford or face massive fees for failure to comply. If they provide the insurance, they will necessarily raise prices on their product or services to be able to continue business. If they deny coverage, they face huge fines until they go out of business. What will this do to the unemployment percentage?
     Obamacare started off at 2,700 pages of legislation. It now stands at over 13,000 pages of new laws. What human being on Earth can navigate that? This system brings with it 21 new taxes that we know of, and most likely an inconceivable amount of hidden taxes and fees. Businesses face strict regulations, and doctor shortages will abound. The politicians claim that they are striving to accomplish a state of fiscal balance, but Obamacare adds 6.2 trillion dollars to the deficit! That is almost a 600% increase to the current budget deficit.
     This new system will cause many businesses to go under. Untold numbers of people will become unemployed. It will cause the government to borrow around 6 times more money than they raise in taxes. The receiver class will grow from 49% by great leaps and bounds. This alone will cripple the United States economy, but the destruction does not end there.
     The second factor is immigration reform. Before delving into this subject too deeply, let us remember that without immigration there would not have been a United States of America. The English settlers who established this nation were immigrants. The starving Irish who came to escape famine were immigrants. The slaves that built the southern economy were immigrants. The orientals who constructed the railroads were immigrants. Some of the most successful figures in our nation's history were immigrants. Considering these facts, should there be a reform to our immigration system?
     According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), the illegal population in the United States numbers around 12 million. President Barack Obama is quoted saying "we are not going to ship back 12 million people... they will have a pathway to citizenship." Instead of upholding our nation's laws, we are giving these people citizenship. They will automatically become eligible for social security, disability, unemployment, welfare, food stamps, and all other entitlement programs that a citizen of the United States is qualified for, many of them without ever having payed a dime in taxes.
     Some politicians are even proposing the expansion of the family sponsorship program. This would mean that all of the immigrants who had gained citizenship would be allowed to invite as many family members to live with them as could be proven they are able to financially support. 12 million then turns into over 50 million. The U.S. population would grow far too rapidly to properly adjust societal infrastructure, resulting in the collapse of public services. Our police are already having a difficult time keeping up with crime rates, and services such as the post office are already going bankrupt!
     The strength of our borders is failing. Illegal immigrants number in the millions, sapping our economy of the money we need to operate as a society. If we grant them citizenship with little to no penalty, the structure of our public systems will prove unable to support the weight of this great leap in the recognized population. The cost to entitlements will be unbearable, and taxes will inevitably rise to cope with the increase in government receivers. This, along with Obamacare, will have great negative impact on the growth of our economy as the percentage grows from 49%.
     Once Obamacare and immigration reform pass, taxes have risen and wages have fallen. The economy has been crippled, and the American spirit crushed. Seeing that most will be somehow dependant on the government, who is to say that the destruction ends there?
     Why would the politicians be doing these things if for no other reason than for power? There is no other logical explanation. Such government takeovers have occurred throughout history, and our ignorance as a people and unwillingness to accept that it could happen to us has led us to this point.
     Unless we open our eyes and acknowledge the drastic transformation before us, our economy will crumble. Obamacare will cause the unemployment of possibly millions. Immigration reform will add millions to the population. The receiver class will jump from 49% to an unknown number, and once the receivers outweigh the providers, we will reach an unsustainable condition that will lead to our demise. It is happening now, and unless preemptive measures are taken soon, we will loose many things dear to us.

Silent SEAL Speaks

     Recently, the Navy SEAL who shot and killed Osama Bin Laden released new details about the mission never before revealed. In his first ever interview, the shooter, who remains anonymous, shares gruesome memories with the public about the raid to eliminate the terrorist leader. Also, he spoke of the despicable treatment he has since received from the federal government and the military.
     The shooter says that he shot Bin Laden three times in the head. Once as he stood, once as he fell, and once as he lay on the floor. He recalls that Osama then was "not moving. His tongue was out. I watched him take his last breaths, just a reflex breath." He then explains that "his forehead was gruesome. It was split open in the shape of a V. I could see his brains spilling out over his face. The American public doesn't want to know what that looks like."
     So, this Navy SEAL killed the most wanted man on Earth; what does he get for it? The shooter served sixteen years in the Navy, and returns home with "his body filled with scar tissue, arthritis, tendinitis, eye damage, and blown disks." What did he receive from his country? "Nothing. No pension, no health care, and no protection for himself or his family."
     The mother of the shooter's children says that they are "deleting him from our lives, but for safety reasons. We still love each other." The family is so insecure that they are changing their names and erasing the shooter's name from all their documents in order to establish a sense of security. Why? Because when SEAL Team 6 was reported to have killed Osama Bin Laden, the media exploded with coverage that compromised the identities of those involved.
     No job, no money, and now being separated from his family. How can our government treat our greatest heroes with such extreme disrespect and disregard? These people should be praised and honored and should never be forced to feel insecure and uncertain of their future lives. There are some indescribable problems in the world today if a man worthy of the highest respect is forgotten as soon as he retires.

The Tax Reform Problem

     During the election, throughout the presidential debates, rally speeches, and campaign stops, Mitt Romney explicitly stressed the importance of closing loopholes in taxes. President Obama, on the other hand, aggressively fought to persuade voters that this tactic was not the way to go! Yet now, Barack Obama claims that closing loopholes and making smart reductions will close the gap in the deficit.
     He says that this will enable us to "continue to fund things that can help us grow." In other words, more spending. The grand and overwhelming majority of growth in the economy has occurred because the federal government is hiring more and more people. So the president wants to fund the growing government so that the government can continue to grow, which causes more need to generate money we do not have so that we will be able to spend more money we do not need to spend.
     The only reason we have a deficit is because we spend billions of dollars on things that contribute nothing to the economy. Instead of cutting the defense budget, why doesn't the government stop throwing $250,000 at every person that discovers a new beetle and wants to study its mating habits? Obama says "we need additional revenue." That's his way way of saying "we need to raise taxes." The president would assert that we do not have enough money to operate correctly. In the real world, we do not have an income problem, we have a spending problem.
     The United States generates plenty of money and tax dollars to run the nation efficiently. Instead or raising taxes so we can spend more, how about we cut spending so we can lower taxes? There is over $50,000 of debt for each American citizen today, and that is not the economy that I want to inherit.
     If the tax reform is to be "fair and transparent," then why have they not proposed anything comprehensible? Obamacare has over 13,000 pages of new regulations, with 21 new taxes that we know of. No human being can navigate a code of law that massive.
     These tax laws do not only affect the U.S. economy, they have an impact on each individual, and how we operate in the global economy. If our own citizens do understand the way our government is operating, how can we know how to fix the problem?

They're At It Again

     Recently, the terrorist organization known as Al Qaeda delivered threatening messages on the internet, promising to rekindle the flames of war in a new wave of attacks on western civilization. On an internet blog, a Muslim extremist claims that "future strikes" will carry the weight of "God's might" and will be "strong, serious, alarming, earth-shattering, shocking, and terrifying." The United States, France, and Denmark are specifically named as targets in these threats as well as other democratic European nations.
     The writer also makes mention of the methods by which these attacks will be carried out. Some of the heinous acts will be accomplished by individuals or small groups of jihadists, likely with firearms, homemade bombs, and such things. Others will be "booby-trapped vehicles" as are a common tool amongst terrorists. It would not be far-fetched to expect other devices, such as IEDs, to be used in their efforts to annihilate free countries such as ours.
     While there may not be much credibility behind these threats, terrorism is a problem of unthinkable magnitude and continues to expand by great leaps and bounds. Home-grown terrorists are rising in our nation. There are many means by which an extremist could penetrate our borders, and carry out his crimes within an unsuspecting population. The potential damage that could be done is unspeakable, and we as a people should be more aware of this increasing threat.

Looting Is Bad, And Wrong! It's Badong! Looting Is Badong!

     Looting, no matter for what reason it is done, is thievery. Some of the thieves on Coney Island "were running in and out of a Rent-A-Center carrying these big flatscreens." During a time of disaster, people should be focused on helping one another instead of seeking their personal interests. With all the damage already done, it is abominable to make the suffering of others worse because of selfish reasons. Others were "running out of a nearby Rite Aid with bags of diapers and wipes." I can understand that some people may be in need of supplies during the aftermath of the storm, and I think this can be justified. To seek necessities in a time of need is only natural. I believe looting is theft if it is for selfish reasons, but to survive it can be justified.
